Lindo is a Gangi Group company, an Australian family-owned company established in 1978.
This is our story
In the late 70s a hardworking electrician named Sebastiano Gangi started an electrical-contracting company in South East Melbourne. His clients soon learned that he and his staff were trustworthy, diligent and reliable. Word got around and his business grew FAST.
When Sebastiano began his well-earned retirement, he passed the business on to his sons and daughter, Daniel, Robert and Carla. The family continues to operate Gangi Group today, living by the same reliable, customer-first ethos that Sebastiano had way back in 1978 – with a dash of innovation for good measure.
Our germicidal discovery
In early 2020 Gangi Group was researching germicidal lighting and discovered high quality UV-C and blue light fittings. Our team realised the enormous need for automated, sustainable and effective disinfection and set about creating innovative, world-first solutions.
Gangi Group’s goal was to harness the proven technology of germicidal lighting to revolutionise disinfection by providing a smarter, easier method.

We’re pleased to announce that Gangi Electrics and Gangi Germicidal Systems have received accreditation in ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001:2015 (Environmental Management System) and ISO 45001:2018 (OHS Management).
This is part of our quest to continuously improve and stay ahead of the game.
Lindo’s beginnings
We needed a new business to help us bring our world-first products to the market and continue to develop innovative new solutions. So Lindo was born.
After years of research, development and collaborations with tier-one research organisations Lindo has produced several germicidal lighting products for the health, defence and transport industries that are simply better than the alternatives:

Gangi Germicidal Systems offers a germicidal UV-C control system that is fully automated and can break down up to 99.99% of bacteria and viruses. It is ideal for a range of applications including food processing, offices, universities, schools, childcare centres, gyms and more.
Gangi Group are a family-owned and operated company comprising of three businesses including Gangi Germicidal Systems, Gangi Electrics and Gangi Mitigation & Maintenance.
We developed our UVGI system after extensive research, development and consultation with experts.
